Introductory Scuba dive       $150

Have you ever wondered what it's like to scuba dive? An introductory dive is a great way to find out! You will start with a little bit of theory that will take you through the equipment you will be using along with some important information you need to have a fun, safe dive. Next you'll learn a few basic dive skills and then you're off for a dive at on of Magnetic Island's beautiful dive sites!

Upgrade your experience $200

If you think you’d benefit from spending some time with your instructor in Magnetic Island's only purpose-built dive pool, consider upgrading your introductory dive to complete the skills in the pool first before venturing out to the ocean.

SSI 3 Day open water course      $400

Our 3 day SSI Open Water course includes online theory, 2 or 3 pool sessions and 4 shore ocean dives off beautiful Magnetic Island. All courses have limited numbers to allow maximum attention from your instructor. Courses start every Tuesday.

Day 1 is spent meeting your fellow students, going through the paperwork. We spend most of the day in the pool introducing you to your scuba equipment.

Day 2 will see you jump in our purpose built pool, learn all the skills and increase your confidence before going to Alma Bay for your first ocean dive.

Day 3 you will be feeling excited to complete your remaining 3 ocean dives and finish off with the final exam followed by getting certified as an Open Water diver!

Includes all gear hire and materials. Course starting time is at 8.30am.

 

PREREQUISITES FOR OPEN WATER COURSES:

- Swim 200m without mask, snorkel or fins

- Float or tread water for 10 minutes without flotation device

 All open-water students are required to complete a medical questionnaire on the first day of the course. If you have had any of the medical conditions mentioned in the medical questionnaire, or are over 45, or have a body mass index over 30 an a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 88cm for females, a dive medical that meets Australian Standard Appendices A and B of AS 4005.1-2000 will be required.


Terms and Conditions: All open-water students and introductory divers are required to complete a medical questionnaire. If you have had any of the medical conditions mentioned in the medical questionnaire, or are over 45, or have a body mass index over 30 an a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 88cm for females, a dive medical that meets Australian Standard Appendices A and B of AS 4005.1-2000 will be required. If you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the schedule departure there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 days in advance of the scheduled departure there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure there is a 100% cancellation fee.
At least 24 hours needs to pass before you are allowed to fly after the completion of your last dive which needs to be taken into consideration when making a booking.
