SPECIALTY DIVER

SSI Specialty Diver is your first step toward becoming an SSI Master Diver. By completing two SSI Specialty programs that interest you, and logging 12 open water dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

You can tailor your specialty diver course to suit your interests. Choose from:

  • Nitrox

  • Wreck Diver

  • Night Diver

  • Navigation

  • Perfect Buoyancy

  • Search and Recovery

  • Marine Ecology

The specialty diver program includes three training dives (two specialties) and free scuba gear hire to use on the island to get you up to 12 dives.

COST: $600 (2-3 Shore Dives)

     

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the next recognition rating on the path to becoming an SSI Master Diver. After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

You can tailor your advanced open water diver course to suit your interests. Choose from:

  • Nitrox

  • Deep Diver

  • Wreck Diver

  • Night Diver

  • Navigation

  • Perfect Buoyancy

  • Search and Recovery

  • Marine Ecology

The advanced open water diver program includes ten training dives (four specialties) and free scuba gear hire to use on the island to get you up to 24 dives.

COST: $2000 (2 Dives on the Yongala and 2 dives on the Great Barrier Reef)

 

MASTER DIVER

The much sought-after SSI Master Diver is the final step in your recreational diving career. The SSI Master Diver program is composed of four SSI Specialty programs and the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course. By completing the five specialty programs, and logging 50 open water dives, you will automatically earn the SSI Master Diver recognition rating, as well as the SSI Specialty program certifications.

You can tailor your master diver course to suit your interests. Choose from:

  • Nitrox

  • Deep Diver

  • Wreck Diver

  • Night Diver

  • Navigation

  • Perfect Buoyancy

  • Search and Recovery

  • Marine Ecology

The master diver program includes thirteen training dives (four specialties and stress and rescue course) and free scuba gear hire to use on the island to get you up to 50 dives.

COST: $2500 (2 Dives on the Yongala and 2 dives on the Great Barrier Reef)
